Criminal lawyer Joseph Correy celebrated the end of a month long murder trial with a not guilty verdict for his client.
His client pleaded not guilty to murdering his disabled step son in October 2013, and the jury acquitting him appeared to accept the death was a tragic accident.
“We’re thankful for the jury’s verdict and hope the family can now begin to heal and remember Steven without the burden of this unjust prosecution casting a shadow over his memory,” criminal lawyer Joseph Correy said in a statement after the not guilty verdict.
